Founded in 1906 Kilcoo GAC is one of the oldest and proudest clubs in County Down and currently fields teams in male and female football and also in Camogie. In the not too distant past the club also fielded hurling teams and aspires to do so again in the near future. Named after Eoghain Rúa Ó Neill the club is situated in the foothills of the Mourne Mountains, County Down in the picturesque parish of Kilcoo. Over this last 20 years or so Kilcoo GAC's youth coaching policy has seen them receive unparrallelled success at juvenile level and this is now coming to fruition at adultlevel with the club's senior foot ballers claiming the Down senior Champion ship title in 2009 and again in 2012, when they also progressed to the Ulster Final only to be defeated by Crossmaglen
